Get Listed!
You may have noticed some of the categories are full to bursting, while others are a little slim. What? No “Sports” category? Indeed there are a few sports Substacks, but not enough to justify a whole separate category or page. Yet.
We are actively adding new listings, and would love to be able to break out new categories as our community grows.
Also, we see this as an opportunity for people to notice where there are gaps, and maybe start a new Substack which addresses under-served topics. Queer Foodie Substack, anyone?
If you’d like to be included in the Qstack Directory, kindly click the button below.
You can also find the button in the header of the Qstack main page, as shown below.
Submissions
Guest posts are the other side of the Qstack coin—your chance to highlight your work and give other people in the Qstack community a taste of your writing.
We are accepting submissions for Qstack guest posts by LGBTQ+ writers, including allies. We are happy to consider previously published work, including your own Substack posts.
If you want to be a guest poster in any of the following categories, please use the button below, also found on the top of the Qstack main page, as shown above.
We are eager to publish your:
Short stories
Poetry
Art
Essays and articles on cultural and community topics
Editorial/Opinion pieces
Interviews
Book, movie, media, and event reviews
Profiles of community organizations and leaders
We’re open to your suggestions!
How To Substack
There are all sorts of posts about how to grow your Substack—my least favorite have screenshots of the posters’ subscriber growth masquerading as #gratitude with rinse/repeat tips that make our beloved platform feel a bit like a Ponzi scheme.
Unless you want to devote yourself to the “Win Substack or Die Trying” niche, there is only one sure-fire, organic way to make the most of your Substack experience and that is to CONNECT with others.
SUBSCRIBE. LIKE. COMMENT. Let people know you’re interested, that you care, and that you want to see them succeed. Restack posts you find interesting. Recommend Substacks written by folks you admire. Collaborate!
Start right here with your Qstack friends!

All of Qstack will always be free! We hope that it becomes a beacon and central hub for queer writers to see and be seen by an ever-growing community, and to make it as accessible as possible, no post or section will ever be behind a paywall.
If you want to support our work with a paid subscription, we offer a few special benefits to show our appreciation for your patronage:
A Recommendation from Qstack.
Priority consideration for guest post submissions.
Invitations for Feature posts—interviews and articles highlighting you and your work.
A Premier listing with 1-click subscribe button—in two different categories of your choice—which looks something like this:

For some strange reason, I don't get notifications for anything Qstack related, so please forgive me if I don't reply promptly - by all means, if you need to reach me, DM or email mrtroyford at substack dot com ❤️🍊💛💚💙💜
Come on, queer foodies! And where's my drag kings? My trans stylists? (For the love of Vesta T., tell me where to find a masc shirt that actually fits!) Queer gardeners, permaculture folks and rewilders - I know you're out there, come and share tips. And how about sex toy reviews? Excited to see this grow.
