A bimonthly digest of queer happenings around Substack
Qstack | The LGBTQQIP2SA+ Community, Directory, and Platform of Substack creators is a reader-supported newsletter and depends on paid subscriptions to highlight the diverse creative talent of queer writers. All content will always be free, but if you want to support your fellow queers by amplifying our voices, please subscribe or upgrade.
Have a question for a queer coach—about identity, relationships, work, creativity, community or becoming more yourself? We invite you to submit your questions to the Qstack monthly feature, Ask a Queer Coach, where Transformational Coach and Associate Editor Keith Aron gives his best coachy take on sticky, scratchy or sludgy life situations. Big crossroads or small stuck places welcome. Submissions can be anonymous. DM Keith directly.

These two funny women are brilliant, irreverent, and insightful, crème de la crème, and this episode is chock-full of their best stuff. Our conversational romp meandered between Barbie's feet, parenting fails (kicked out of a church on Christmas!), the dreaded salad spinner, and stories about Lalita's and my journey with the book we worked on together, Boyhood Reimagined.
(Special note re: the bit about the Skipper doll with breast crank…!?!)
Our Rhiannon D'Averc of I Dream In Books has a hot take on Outrage: How to Fight for LGBTQ+ Lives by Ellen Jones over on TikTok.

Are you Ready? Am I?
What comes up when we ask ourselves vulnerable questions about what we need to understand/do/be/interrogate so that we feel like we’ve shown up the way we wanted to in this lifetime? Jae J Casella’s short, tender piece about "taking sombre stock" of ourselves is a heartfelt answer to some of these questions, revealing a nuanced distinction: opening the door to the heart is one thing, but keeping it open is quite another.
An Interview With Sci-fi & Dystopian Writer Tasha He.
Hazel from BookStack interviews Tasha He, author of Caenogenesis, the introductory book in a trilogy about a post-apocalyptic world featuring a corrupt and controlling government. Proceeds from the novel, which will debut April 14th, will benefit Disenfranchised Writers' Voices, a nonprofit Tasha founded to support low-income and disabled writers. We thought this was a cute interview lifting up the voice of a queer activist who holds multiple intersectional identities.
